I was checking my credit report last night and noticed it had dropped -points and there was a collection account listed. I looked at the collector 's name and called today. I informed them that I never received any type of communication regarding this debt. The man I spoke to who 's name is " - '' told me they sent out notices to an unknown address. I related to him that I live at a different address. He then told me there was nothing I could do but send dispute letters to the credit bureaus. I told him they have hurt my stellar credit rating and I am in the process of buying home. He then told me the debt was for - - that is right -. The agent then hung up on me. I called back to get his name and they put me on a very long hold and hung up. I called again and was finally able to get his name. I have sent them a debt validation letter and they have not responded to that request. I looked the company up on - and they have the worst reputation. They are ATG Credit LLC
