I was involved in a car accident and was not at fault. The claim was filed with the other person 's insurance company. The insurance company never paid the claim and as a result I was held responsible for payment of the ambulance transport. The ambulance fee was sent to collections on my credit report. I paid the balance and it is still showing on my credit report as an unpaid and open collection.
