Amex Credit card department,
On - -, 2015 I ordered - diamond rings on - - - # - ) and decided to return them upon receipt ; I obtained a return authorization and - supplied the pre-paid shipping label for the United Stated Postal Service. Next - said the returned package was unsealed and open when they received it and the rings were removed from their individual ring boxes within the single return box. American Express worked with - over the last year while the charge was in and out of dispute repeatedly. Last month - suggested I file a claim with USPS and insisted tracking number - was invalid. Again, I attempted to file a claim with the -, but they said - needs to file the claim since they paid for the shipping ; I do not understand why that would not be standard procedure when they receive an opened returned package with missing contents. - did not entertain the USPS statement that the tracking number is correct and the returned package weighed - pound on - -, 2015 when I gave the sealed box to the post-master for the return shipping ; the USPS does not accept unsealed packages for mailing, and - said the package weighed - pounds when they received it. I would greatly appreciate the USPS statement be supplied to -, proving the rings were removed during the return shipping that they provided ; I have no other insurance and this is not eligible for the AME- purchase protection. Thank you very much for your time and support!
