I bought this car never registered the car under my name. I then sold this car to a unknown person I cant remember the name. This happened 3 years ago. Its been a long time I 've did my part by releasing liability to DMV but for some reason they have no record. i send out for - inquiry witch I paid $20.00 for but when it came back my release of liability was not on their, I know I did it online for some reason it did not save under the DMV system. The collection agency told me if i forgot to enter millage or any little thing it would not accept it I 'm not sure if a did an error on my behalf but I 'm 100 % sure I did it. DMV never rejected my application. I did file the release of liability but like i side they have no proof. I 'm the kind of person that takes care of her responsibilities but at this time i find my self very upset because I 'm being charged for something that i know in took care of 3 years ago. I tried talking to the collection agency and letting them know what happened but they do n't seem want to dismiss the case they keep asking me for money. I actually gave them a $25.00 dollar payment to keep them away. I do n't find it fair to have to pay for something that i do n't have and sold 3 years ago and knowing I did the release of liability. I have in closed copies of a new release of liability that DMV had me redo but the collection agency will not accept it. DMV said they should accept it but they want the date to be a date before it got towed away.
