Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
I disputed an account with SYNCB/HH Gregg with the - major credit bureaus and directly with SYNCB/HH Gregg. The credit bureaus and SYNCB/HH - both verified the accounts as being accurate and responded to my dispute in a timely fashion. But what they failed to do per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, was to update my account as being disputed within 5 days of receiving the dispute which according to the Federal Trade Commission is their responsibility and when not done, is a violation of the FCRA.
