I opened a secured credit card with a credit line of $500.00 at US Bank in - 2016. I had charged $490.00 to the card. On - - 2016 i decided to close the account and submitted my request in writing. On or around - -, 2016 I called US Bank and the credit card had been closed and they took the initial $500.00 secured deposit and applied it to the balance which made a credit balance of $0.00. On - - I was charged a $29.00 annual fee. I called US Bank on - - and was advised that they would go ahead and waive the annual fee by submitting a request and that it would be done within 10 business days. On around - -, I checked back with the bank and it still was not credited I was told to give it a few more days. On - - I called back again and a representative a shored me that they would waive that annual fee based on the prior notes they saw no issue but the representative past me to a supervisor and the supervisor stated that we will not waive the fee because this is a secured card and that if I took any other measures by going to the CFPB or Federal Trade Commission it would do no good because they were not going to break policy based off of a CFPB compliant. This card was closed before the annual fee was ever buil this card was closed before the annual fee was ever billed.
