Medical Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt was paid Georgia

The debt was not mine/paid, but thought paying it would be easier then going the not mine route. I was seen in the ER at - - - located at - - -, -, GA - due to being involved on car accident that I was not a fault for on -/-/-. The hospital was given the driver that was at fault information. On -/-/- I noticed I had a collection from Central Financial Control for the amount of $550.00. I sent a dispute through - that day that I had no knowledge of this debt. On -/-/- I received my first notice and a letter to settle this debt for $270.00. I wanted to get this taken care of right away the same day I made a payment of $270.00 with the understanding the debt would be settled and deleted from my report. I was told I would be mailed a receipt. To this day I have not been mailed a receipt and the balance is still showing on my report as closed. I used my - card to pay for the balance and they are also requesting documentation on the balance paid. This needs to be removed as I was not notified in a timely manner and I made payment as soon as I was aware of this balance. I was also told it would be removed if the balance was paid.
