Medical Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt was paid Oregon
My company closed last year with the last day of health coverage -/-/-. I had received a letter from - -/-/- after calling them about terminating my insurance, stating that the insurance would be terminated for non-payment on -/-/-., Since I was starting my new job -/-/- I continued to have health insurance. I then received a call from collection agency in - - for money for - and - - installments. They also stated they needed proof of coverage. I immediately sent them proof of coverage and the information regarding the termination of coverage. I continued to receive phone calls stating they either had n't received the proof of coverage or they could n't read it. I continued to re-send it. After 5 months of calls I was told by - from RMS that if I paid $100.00, sent another copy of the confirmation of coverage to the address she provided this would close the account. I did this -/-/-. I was then called in - - stating they never received my check. I then sent a copy of the cashed check. I requested confirmation that the matter had been closed. Instead I was told they were going to send the check back to me, which I have never received. In - I received a letter stating that they had not received my proof of coverage or payment. This has now been ongoing for almost a year. I have done everything asked of me, but yet I get continued requests for the same information over and over. They now want more money, and I have never received " the check they sent back to me ''. I would like to have this matter closed. The insurance was already cancelled - -, -. I was told be an - representative that to terminate the insurance all I had to do was not pay it. this is also confirmed by the policy book. I had coverage starting - -, - from my new employer. I would welcome any assistance you can provide.
