Disclosure verification of debt not given enough info to verify debt
California Business Bureau, Inc. Debt collection department,
I do not know Disclosure verification of debt Not given enough info to verify debt California
Under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act ( FDCPA ), I have the right to request validation of the debt. On -/-/2016 i mailed a request to Validate the Debt via Priority Mail via the USPS. On -/-/2016 I received a notice from the collection agency stating that the did indeed receive and completed a Consumer Dispute Verification. This is a violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act ( FDCPA ), the FCRA, and Federal and State statutes for fraudulent slander of credit and illegal reporting activities. Under California Civil Code 1785.26 a collection agency is to notify me within 30 days of reporting a collection account to my Credit report. Since they have failed to notify me of this, by phone or registered mail they are in violation of this code.
