To Whom It May Concern, On or around - -, 2016, I received a debt collection notice from MRS Associates of New Jersey alleging I owed $250.00. An amount they claim was incurred from a - - account. MRS Associates proceeded to furnish this negative information to the - major credit reporting bureau, -, on or around - -, 2016. On - -, less than 30 days after receiving notice from MRS Associates , I sent a notice of dispute and request for validation, pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Report Act, via U.S - Postal Service Certified Mail with return receipt. On or around - -, 2016 MRS Associate 's employee received my notice of dispute and validation. I continue to dispute the validity of the claim of debt from MRS Associates, as I have no knowledge of the account referenced in MRS Associates ' notice. I requested that MRS Associates substantiate their claim of debt by providing me with ; statements of the account, the name and address of the original creditor, and proof that MRS Associates is authorized to collect on behalf of -. On or around - -, 2016, MRS Associates sent me insufficient validation, validation which does not substantiate their claim of debt. I request that MRS Associates remove all negative tradelines furnished to any credit reporting bureau and cease all collection activities until such a time validation of debt is received that properly substantiates their claim of debt. I will not consider this debt valid until I receive statements of the account, the name and address of the original creditor, and proof that MRS Associates is authorized to collect on behalf of -. No person should be subjected to debt collection from companies not willing to substantiate their claims of debt.
