I notified barclays ( Re : Acct # - ) that this account is the result of identity theft on my credit file and that I was not the person who applied for, or opened the account and that it must be removed. Not only did I not receive any response, but it is still on my credit file and they will not take it off. I did send them the affidavit as well as the police report along with my letter. I require further investigation into this account and I also requested a handwriting analysis as well as an affidavit from them swearing that i was the person who opened said account, which I did not. In addition to this, pursuant to section FCRA 603 ( o ) ( 5 ) ( A ) ( i ; iii ), I did not give authorization for this account to report on my credit file, so either way, this needs to be removed immediately.
