Other (i.e. phone, health club, etc.) Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt is not mine Alabama

Checked my credit report to find Diversified Consultants trying to collect on some old wireless phone bill. Consumer was never notified about this account ; just placed on my credit report willy nilly. I do not owe this company anything, and how is it that a debt collector can just place inaccurate information on credit reports.
