My complaint is against Midland Funding LLC of - -.a credit card company. I received this card I believe around 2002 maybe or earlier. My question is what is the statue of limitations for the state of - for credit card collection and who is in charge of how much these companies are allowed to pile on additional charges. My initial credit limit was $350.00 with the - withheld for some type of annual fee. Needless to say whenever I have received collection letters from various companies about this debt the cost on this account continues to rise. I have refuted this debt several times. The amount that they are trying to collect is - plus - court charges. Since this account has passed through so many different hands no one seems to know where the additional charges are coming from or they are not willing to find out. What are my rights as a consumer and who can help me with this 14 yr old debt. The company that is presently collecting is - - -, - ( - ) - in - , - -.
