Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement New York
While in -, a gas station attendant stole my credit card and fraudulently charged to it. I immediately disputed the charges with Barclaycard. Barclaycard sent me a letter saying that they investigated the transaction and their research indicated the transaction was valid. The letter says that the results of their investigation were enclosed with the letter, but nothing was enclosed. I called to resolve the dispute and spent over 1 hour on the phone, mostly on hold being bounced between departments because Barclaycard could not figure out whether this was fraud or not. I still have not received resolution on this matter. Is their strategy to make customers hold for so long that they eventually give up?
