In - - I took out a loan from Western Sky that I saw advertised on television to fund a move to - to take a - job. After applying I was contacted by a company named - - and they stated they worked with Western Sky. - - I noticed a company named Delbert on my credit report and that I opened an account in - -. After some investigation I found out Delbert is a collection company owned by the same person that owns - -. The loan was never late and I was never informed of the transfer. Apparently - - got in trouble in several states for illegal loans. They apparently were posing as an - tribe company but they are not. This was the way they were trying to charge 89 percent interest. I talked to the - Attorney General and they stated Delbert is not licensed in the state of -. The Attorney General 's office suggested I stop making payments and contact the CFPB. I stopped the payments and Delbert is now showing the loan amount charged off. In - the usury law caps interest at 29 % and the loan is in violation of - law. Several states have ruled these loans illegal and the loans do not have to be paid.
