Installment loan Problems when you are unable to pay California

Four years ago Wells Fargo Bank charged off a credit line that I had with them. A year ago they filed a - with IRS declaring that they had Canceled or Discharged my debt. Consequently, I included the discharged amount in my income and paid taxes on the Discharged amount. Now, I find that despite the Discharge, Wells Fargo is still reporting the entire canceled/discharged amount to credit bureaus as Past Due and still owing.
