-/-/2016 I was researching for a good option to payoff a high interest mortgage I have on a property. I came across a good opportunity from Bank of America and started the application process for a line of credit. They asked for a good estimate of the value of my property and request my realtor to prepare a value analysis, he told me I can market it at least at $ -. I requested a $ - line of credit based on this number. After a month of sending tons of papers and information they came back telling me my property was appraised at $560.00 based of some data. At that time I requested a full appraisal of my property because I did a lot of improvements to it with add value. To my surprise, the bank assigned the same company and the same - who did my appraisal 2 years ago and came really low did this appraisal again. -/-/- the bank called telling me the property was appraised at $ -, totally disappointed, he did not even considered the money I spent in the remodelation and extra futures. When I requested copy of the appraisal I found out that it had a lot of discrepancies, and it needed to be reconsider and I also sent more comparables since the appraiser said he was not able to find recent comps for my property and he used some that had more than a year ago! Today I received a call that my petition came at the same price! They not only waste my time, my money, my patience but also are damaging my credit! They even endorse my policy with a loan that it seems they did n't want or have interest in giving ... totally disappointing. I hope no other clients get damaged the way I was.
