Apparently Paypal issued me a credit card at some point ... I honestly have no idea if I applied for it or not. In - I made a transaction for the amount of - via Paypal as I always do and expected the money to be withdrawn from my bank account as it always for over 10 years. For reasons beyond my understanding this particular transaction went on the credit account unbeknownst to me. Late fees and charges totaling over $60.00 were assessed in - and - of 2016. Paypal was sending me emails but since I had never used Paypal Credit before I had no whitelisted that email address and those were going into my Spam folder so I never saw any of them. Today I got a call finally from them and had no idea what the lady was talking about. She said I had to pay the full amount, which I did, but I argued I had never received actual notification and that a letter or a call earlier would have avoided me having been assessed the late fees. I feel like the delay in contacting me served only to benefit Paypal and I think their policy and procedure regarding cases like this should be changed as it is predatory.
