Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Keep getting calls about my loan Florida
I was contacted by SIMM associates regarding a past due balance for a private student loan serviced by - -. I was in contact with - about possible forbearance options as I had recently lost my job. I am not one to miss payments and had a track record of on time payments since -/-/-. In conversation with an associate from - ( - - ), on Friday, - -, -, I told - that I would be making a payment directly to - on the - of - - my - paycheck after 5 months of unemployment ). She insisted that I call to make the payment with her instead and I declined. After my interaction with these in incompetent people, why would I give them my bank account information? These people can barely formulate a sentence with proper grammar. On Fri, - -, I contacted - to let them know I would log on to my account and make a payment to get my account to current status. I spoke with a nice lady named - and she also said she has heard terrible stories about - associate interactions. I proceeded to make my payment online with -
phone, as well as my office line ( yes, these people are harassing me at work when I just started a new job 3 weeks ago and am trying to earn a living to pay them!! ) STOP. - informed me that calls may continue through the weekend in order for the system to update. It is now one week later ( - - ) and the calls continue on a daily basis. I paid my debt and do not need to be harassed any longer!! I called SIMM on -, - - and spoke with - - yet again to get nowhere. The excuse this time was that their employees do not check the notes in the system before they make calls. Really? Is n't that the point of a company having a tracking system in the first place?! These people are incompetent and - and they need to be stopped!! We are now at - - and my phone continues to receive voicemails from these people. When will it stop? It 's been 7 days and I highly doubt that a system needs that long to update. If you have a good relationship with your client, communicate with them!!! The lack of communication between - ( the servicer of my loan ) and SIMM Associates is unreal.
