I am a customer at Union Bank California. Was denied services and a check endorsed to me was refused. - the teller had no banking information on me. Did not swipe my card nor ask for ID. He immediately took the check to his manager - who also refused my request to deposit this check endorsed to me. I was DISCRIMINATED against based on my appearance and not account information. After leaving I contacted the branch manager - who then also informed me that his teller did the right thing by denying my check. - stated that if he had taken the check from me, that doing this would put him at risk insinuating the check may be bad, or fraud may be involved. I was not only insulted but also humiliated.
