CIT Bank National Association Debt collection department,
Mortgage Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt was discharged in bankruptcy California
This is a follow up to Complaint # - ( now CIT ) responded within days of your having contacted them. They have sent several letters, we have spoken several times on the telephone, the bank has acknowledged that they have no legal standing to continue to hold their lien against our home. Despite their promises to resolve the matter, today, three months after our initial contact with you and 20 months after we first requested that the bank release the lien, as of - -, 2015 the lien release has not been recorded. This morning I spoke to - - - to express my dismay at the delay. I pointed out that if this were a sale, the transfer would be recorded in three - five days. He said he had no explanation nor was he able to contact anyone else in the bank who might have some insight into how to move the process along and reach a resolution. I appreciate the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau 's assistance and can say without equivocation that it was your involvement that moved the bank to begin a dialogue. I hope that you are equally able to help them solve this in a timely manner.
