My husband and I applied for preapproval with Freedom Mortgage wherein they submitted an email to my landlord indicating that we had great FICO scores and see no reason why we would n't be approved for a mortgage loan. After providing our driver 's licenses and other identifying information which revealed our ethnicity, we were asked to supply a numerous amount of documentation that was not relevant to the loan application. We were subsequently denied a mortgage loan.
