I cosigned for a student loan for my son to be paid after he graduated. Kohn Law Firm of - WI, ( a Nationally recognized debt collection law firm '' according to their Website ) starting working with the collection of the debt in -/-/-. I set up a verbal payment agreement with them and began making $200.00 per month in -/-/-. Payments were sent to the firm at - - - - - -, -, WI -. I continuously requested validation of the debt and when they did sent me information it was not complete. In -/-/-, they filed a lawsuit against myself and my son. We both hired attorneys and again both attorneys requested copies of the master list ( pool agreement schedule - ) showing that this loan was transferred to a trust account. In -/-/-, Attorney - contacted my attorney ( who was hired to represent me on the loan of my son 's ) regarding another defaulted loan that was in his office on a student loan of
have not received anything from them. Attorney - violated my right to privacy by even mentioning this matter to my attorney, who, again was not representing me on this matter. This Master list regarding my son was never provided and the court dismissed the case in -/-/- along with my counterclaim. My counterclaim was for a refund of payments made in the amount of $2000.00 along with attorney fees and $1000.00 punitive damages. Between -/-/- and -/-/- I actually paid $ --After a month I contacted the Attorney - - requesting a refund of the $2900.00 I paid on the loan that they could not prove the ownership of. He has refused. I sent an email again asking for a refund of my money and again he refused.
