I had an account with - - that went to AFNI collection agency. The original debt was for $470.00. I settled the debt with AFNI for $230.00. On - -, 2015, when I settled, I paid half of the settlement which was $110.00. It was n't until recently when I went to pay the settlement off that AFNI sent the collection BACK to - - on - -, 2015. AFNI told me to call - to conduct any business/payments regarding the account. I called -, they referred me back to AFNI. I went back & forth several times with both companies because AFNI said they could not do anything on the account because they no longer had the account. - told me that AFNI never notated the account properly, so they do n't have any record of any settlement. They only have the original balance of $470.00, minus the $110.00 payment that I made. So - wants me to pay $350.00 to pay off the account instead of the settlement amount that should have been documented by AFNI.
