U.S. Bancorp Credit card department,
U.S. Bank reports my credit card account as OPEN to credit reporting agencies, although it has been closed for the long time. I have contacted USB multiple times in the last 2 months and disputed the status -. Each time USB representatives confirm that the account is in the CLOSED status. As a matter of fact, I have a letter from USB, dated -/-/2015, confirming that the account is CLOSED. But USB continues to be reported as OPEN.That dramatically brings down my credit score. I have disputed this account with CFPB before and USB responded by asking me for my identifying information ( which, obviously, does not address the issue whatsoever ). Because I have not received any resolution, and I have called CFPB today to see what I should do, I have been advised to refile a complaint.
