CashCall, Inc. Consumer loan department,
Installment loan Problems when you are unable to pay California
I took out a loan with Cashcall in 2013 I was later laid off from my job and tried working with Cashcall but they would not work with me. I am now gainfully employed and have contacted all creditors to payoff everyone and make payment arrangements. Cashcall stated they would call back because of the length of time. Weeks later I get a call from an attorney claiming to represent Cashcall, - - -, stating I could make arrangements with his office. My $2600.00 loan which I made I believe 6 six $300.00 payments was still at $2600.00 and due to interest still being charged U owed $9800.00. when I stated that was way too much money and I could not afford this, I was told they would seek a judgment and garnish my wages. I am more than willing to payoff a debt that I owe, however the amount being sought after is excessive and I am unable to pay. This should be illegal especially when I contacted them to repay. I had not received any collection efforts from them in over 18 months until I called them
