I was notified that NCC Business Services was attempting to collect on a disputed rental debt on behalf of -. Because the debt prevented me from being considered for future apartment rentals, I made the decision to pay the disputed debt to resolve the matter and put it behind me. This debt was paid -/-/-. I received a letter via email from NCC Business Services that showed the debt as paid in full, and I provided the letter to the apartment office. More recently, I have applied to several apartment communities, and my applications were declined due to unpaid rental debt. This debt is still showing open and unpaid on my credit report, even after almost a year of it being paid. NCC Business Services is responsible for timely and accurate reporting to the credit bureaus for debts they report. They have failed to accurately report this account for almost a year, which has been detrimental to my credit report and has cost me financially due to apartment application fees. I contacted NCC Business Services -/-/- to discuss this matter and obtain proof of payment. The first person hung up on me, and when I called back, the representative said my only option was to send an email request to their email address. I have yet to receive the simple letter I requested, and any acknowledgment of my request. This has been incorrectly reported for almost a year. Falsely reporting a debt to the credit bureaus is a violation of my rights as a consumer.
