Hello. I have a Wells Fargo credit card and my friend, - -, walked into a Wells Fargo on - -, 2015, to pay $5800.00 towards my credit card so that I would owe him and not Wells Fargo since my a.p.r will soon shoot up to 29 %. Whence - - went into the bank, he could have paid this amount a number of ways but the woman behind the counter recommended he write a check, which he did from his account with - - - - - he also has an account with Wells Fargo, which will become relevant later ). This past weekend, on - -, 2015, I attempted to use the credit card only to have it decline ; I planned to use the card for late in - to - because I am a teacher and do not receive a paycheck - anyhow, here we go : I call Wells Fargo on - -, 2015 only to hear - people in, finally speaking to a supervisor who said that the funds were not applied to my account and would not be until the bank
right until they felt comfortable - '' it became laughable ; what policy, ever, has sounded like this? I then said that I would contact the Attorney General 's office, that I needed the funds to apply to payments, such as my car that is in the shop. She then told me - - could fax proof of his check clearing from his account, which happened on - -, 2015. He faxed both his bank statement and copies of his cleared check the next day. I was told that if this did not happen, I would have to wait until - - if he did not fax this information (?! ). I was ready to pick up my car today and called Wells Fargo. - - and I are still on the phone, as we have been for hours today. They keep saying that they need authorization from his bank and from all parties involved before they post his money to the account. The woman we are now speaking to is saying that we need something on letterhead from his bank that states his name on his account and his balance before and after he applied his funds to my Wells Fargo credit card ; he will need to go to his bank, they say, to do all of this ; apparently, his generous help must be followed by a generous portion of his time to say that he is him ... self ... They need this because he is not authorized '' to pay for my account. Wells Fargo has his money which has cleared from his account but are not applying said funds to my account and are now telling me that this will not happen for ten more days. Somewhere, in between all of this, we spoke with - ( with an A '' ) said that there were insufficient funds, which has been refuted by the woman we speaking with now. Today I received a letter in the mail in which Wells Fargo informs me that funds will not be applied to my account until - -, 2015. It also said that a check showing clearance from my friend would clear up the matter, which, as mentioned, he already faxed a week ago. This is unscrupulous and absurd. I hope to hear from you soon about to resolve this. - -
