Home equity loan or line of credit Loan servicing, payments, escrow account California

Our home was serviced by CHARTER ONE BANK.We paid additional amounts to pay off the loan early.Those amounts not applied properly towards principal reduction. The loan was paid off in 2/2011we wrote many letters to them to give us back the amount of $2500.00. they have not responded at all.
