Closing/Cancelling account Colorado
Hello - I opened an account with US Bank approximately 2 years ago. I was a secured credit card '' - the terms were that I deposited $5000.00 into a secured account and was granted a credit card with a limit of $5000.00 corresponding to my secured account. I decided to close this account -/-/2015 and had difficulty discovering the process to close the account. Finally I submitted a request in writing to close the account -/-/-. I was told my $5000.00 would be refunded shortly. On - -, 2015 I was told again that my check was being cut and was being mailed that week and I would receive it by -/-/- at the latest. It is now - -, 2015 and I have not received the funds I deposited with US Bank. I 've had a frustrating time dealing with the customer support as they make it very difficult to get information and have so far given me false information regarding the $5000.00 that they are withholding from me. They have kept my funds for over 2 months and repeatedly misrepresented the return of those funds. I regard this a fraudulent in that they represent one thing ( that the deposited funds are easily recovered once the account is closed ) and their behavior suggests that they are holding the funds purposely for their own gain ( they are collecting interest on my funds ).
