I am not certain how the debt collector has obtained my phone number for collection of a family member 's debt. They have called me - times today alone after I explained that I was not the person they were looking for and provided a different phone number for them to call. They are rude to me when I tell them to stop. I am a -, I ca n't have my phone ringing all day in classes, during study time, etc. It 's distracting and humiliating that my phone number is associated with this debt. They wo n't tell me any details about the company they are from. I know they ca n't give details of the debt due to confidentiality. I feel personally attacked and it has got to stop. This is not the first time this has happened from the same number. I usually do n't answer if it is a strange number, but due to my many contacts through school and networking for my future I do not like to ignore a number that calls with such frequency without understanding their intent. My intention is to stop the calls and return to my life. I am in no way responsible for the debt in question nor do I share a residence with this person. I do, however, acknowledge that this person is a family member.
