On -/-/2015 I sent a letter to Central Financial Control informing them they were violating my rights afforded by FDCPA 15 U.S.C. 1692e ( 2 ) ( A ) by falsely reporting the legal status of the account as OPEN '' and requested they correct their reporting. As of - -, 2015 I pulled my credit reports and Central Financial Control has not updated the status. This incorrect reporting is causing harm to my creditworthiness through several scoring models and needs to be removed. This was medical debt that should have been paid by insurance, that I did not receive any notice of until it showed on my credit report. I immediately contacted the company and paid the debt, yet it still continues to show as an open and active collection account with a $0.00 balance.
