I mailed Central Financial a dispute letter - -, 2015 requesting validation of debt pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 ( b ) In the letter I requested the following information : What the money you say I owe is for ; Explain and show me how you calculated what you say I owe ; Provide me with copies of any papers that show I agreed to pay what you say I owe ; Provide a verification or copy of any judgment if applicable ; Identify the original creditor ; Prove the Statute of Limitations has not expired on this account ; Show me that you are licensed to collect in my state ; andProvide me with your license numbers and Registered Agent. I asked the office to provide me with debt verification within 30 days from the receipt of my letter or to cease all collection activity and remove all negative accounts from their office from my credit report. I received a letter from Central Financial Control dated - -, 2015 ( after the 30 day grace period ). In the letter, Central Financial requested a copy of my personal identification and Social Security card to assist them with completing their investigation. The letter also stated that if they did not receive the requested information, the account would be returned to the appropriate department for handling, including but not limited to active collections. I informed Central Financial that there is no Fair Debt Collection Practice which requires I furnish copies of my personal sensitive information to credit collection agencies. Central Financial continues to refuse to verify the dispute of the debt. I submitted a complaint to the - and the complaint was closed and unresolved on -/-/15. I believe Central Financial is engaging in deceptive and illegal collection activities. Furthermore, Central Financial is not licensed to debt collect in the state I reside in ( Missouri ).
