Started with a hospital visit & billing error by - - - -/-/-. Hospital failed to submit the proper claim through my insurance company & was charging me the full bill. Took them almost until -/-/- to fix the problem, all I owed was a $150.00 copay. Hospital never sent a bill but instead, reported & sent me to collections. Company is called Harris & Harris LTD out of - IL. I paid the $150.00 bill online -/-/- after I requested a proper bill with the correct amount for my records. I am still getting collection calls on my cell phone. I have faxed & notified them verbally to stop the calls as the amount owed has been paid. Harris & Harris phone representatives are extremely rude & pushy insisting I have n't paid the $150.00. No one will take ownership and keeps transferring me to different people ultimately ending up with the same fax number to fax my proof of payment. The harassment has gotten so bad that I no longer pick up my phone when I see their number on my caller ID. Least they can do is offer to verify payment & make the proper corrections. Or at least, be pleasant on the phone, I do not owe them money & therefore need to be treated right & not as a deadbeat. All because - failed at its obligations to properly process my claim & send me the correct $150.00 copay bill.
