In 2015, my partner lost his job, his sister died at the age of - and a - on me. In the midst of all this going on we had a few returned checks at the -. They were placed with Meade and Associates in - Ohio. I spoke to a lady named - who said that I could pay the checks off a few at a time and she would work with me. On - -, 2015 I receive a call at work from - a collector at Meade and Associates. He said he was turning them over to the courts of - County and wanted to give me the opportunity to make them right. I said I could pay half of the balance in - payments and he said no. He said that if I did not give him a debit card number to hold or debit card number he would turn them over to the court house. There website stated that they work with people. I said that I would call him back with the information on the card. I work as a - and I thought, try and work it out. I called back and asked

I was on hold and voice audex came on and said now being transferred. - who originally called me picked up and began yelling at me and then screaming at me saying what do n't you understand etc. I ended up giving him my debit card number and said this will be my car payment plus other bills, he said ok I will turn them over to the - County Prosecutors office then. I have spoken with the prosecutors office and the lady was nice, she said they do n't need to use their office to bully people. I ended up researching Meade and Associates and their are numerous complaints. I own the debt will right the wrong but do n't scream at me at work and threaten me. This - has done this to other consumers and I would like to know why he is still employed there. My understanding is the Ohio Attorney General has been contacted before but nothing done. Why? Can all these consumers placed in collections be wrong? - - is by far collecting in a thug like mentality and it is not ok. I plan on contacting the - County Prosecutors Office again in a written letter form and advise them that this individual needs to stop using their office as his own personal collection tool. Meade and Associates are located at - - - - Ohio, again if you research you will see that I am not the only one who has been screamed at threatened. They say they record the conversations but lets be real, they can record portions of what they want to be heard. All of these people that I have researched are not going to have the same story.
