In - 2015, I filed a FTC complaint regarding multiple collection phone calls for an account that I did not open. The investigation was complete ; it was verified that I did have an account with - and did not owe them any money. Today, I received a call from a collection agency regarding a - account. Today, I contacted - and they did verify that an account was opened in my name in - 2015 and it has been placed into collections. My issue is that customer service has repeatedly provided me with the incorrect information, and was withholding information that I requested and facilitated account fraud. I believe that this issue could have been resolved months ago.
