A collection was placed on my account in -/-/- from -/-/-. When contacted - stated I had a zero balance '' with them. I lived at - - Apartments managed by - - from -. I am going through a federal background check right now for a potential job. A charged from - - appeared on my credit history from -/-/-. I called and they stated that I had a zero balance ledger with them and that they would talk to the collections department and remove the charge. This is concerning that a charge was placed on my account without proper notice and when I had a zero balance. I notified - - properties on -/-/- and received a ledger with a zero balance. I am still awaiting a reply as to when they will speak to their collections department to remove this fraudulent charge so I can continue with my federal employment background check. I fear that this charge has affected my job prospects in the past. The collections agency is called Resident Collections.
