Medical Disclosure verification of debt Not disclosed as an attempt to collect Oregon
I received a letter in - - from Columbia Collections. It said that I owed money for my ex-husband 's hospital stay in - of -. I told them that it was the first I heard about it, but they said they called me once in -, and I told them that I was getting divorced and was not responsible for my ex-husband 's bill. They said okay and did n't contact me again for ~ 2 years. When I got the letter in - of - and they explained that I was responsible, I paid it right away. I now have a mark on my credit report, which lowers my credit score. I do n't feel that I was notified properly.
