Please see attached letters of - - and - -. Briefly, on - -, - at -, - and - - ( husband and authorized user on the account ), was on the phone with Synchrony Bank/Care Credit for almost 30 minutes with multiple personnel. During the call, we made payment arrangements, and provided a bank account for such payments. ( - - has made substantial, regular payments for this account of approximately $30000.00 or more from when it was opened in - and through -. ) Despite doing so, the representative alleged that the bank account was invalid and then disconnected the telephone call. Within a matter of days thereafter - - was diagnosed with -, and was hospitalized nearly full time since then ( see attached statement upon beginning treatment ). As such, she was not in a position to address this account. On - -, - at -, we also advised - not to contact co-applicant - -, an - person, regarding the above-referenced account as he was seriously ill, having had heart surgery following a - -. Nonetheless, Synchrony did not process the payments as agreed, ignored the payment plan, sent the account to collection agencies, repeatedly harassed - - by improper threatening communications, and wrongly reported the matter to credit bureaus, creating a negative account for - -, resulting in a credit denial as endorser for a PLUS Student Loan ( see related CFPB case - ).
