GE Capital Retail Credit card department,
I was billed a late fee and subsequently charged double the minimum monthly payment for - - billing period. A payment in the amount of $30.00 was made on - - ( in advance of the due date - - with confirmation ). I contacted Belk 's Credit card/Synchrony Bank, was transferred and put on hold for about - minutes. I spoke with - id # -, - and - ( Supervisor ( s ) of Collections ) to remove the late fee, any additional finance charges and to correct the current minimum payment due as I was trying to make payment, - -. - advised that they would remove the late fee but as a - courtesy but the double payment of $74.00 is still due. I asked for her manager and she stated - - was not in the office but I could leave a message. - transferred the call to - - voicemail. She advised her manager 's name was - and would not give her nor his last name to reference. I was told the office location is in -, NC. Both - and - were rude and condescending basically stating that I should not have paid in advance and nothing would be done otherwise. I am being penalized for making a payment earlier than the due date.
