Amex Credit card department,
I applied for an American Express card in -/-/- in order to do a balance transfer with 0 % interest as stated in the offer. I first contacted American Express in - after the account opened to initiate transfer and customer service said that I had to initiate online ; however, the site would not let me login with the account number I was given ; I could not even see my account. I then contacted them again. I continued several times to set up the balance transfer and was told to login and that it was a system error and initiate transfer, now ... - mos later they are telling me that I only had 1 month to get it done. I would never have opened an additional line of credit had I known I would not be able to get the service offered 0 % transfer thru -/-/-. No where in the offer or application said that I had one month to do the transfer either. Every time I call they say that there are notes in their computer to activate transfer option, but it was never activated for me to utilize and now they tell me to open another line of credit to get the offer. This company did not abide by their offer and have been very misleading.
