GE Capital Retail Credit card department,
In -/-/- I applied for a Lowe 's credit card to pay for a renovation. The card was to be without interest for - months. I never received the initial credit card from Lowe's/Synchrony Bank, - - -, -, Ga - and a - card was sent to me. I began receiving statements for the - card however I was being charged interest. When I advised them of this problem they began transferring interest charges from the old card to the new card. In -/-/- they said my balance was $12000.00. I calculated my balance to be $10000.00. I would crack quested that they give me a payoff amount and they said my payoff amount was $12000.00. I contacted them and asked them to tell me why my balance was that amount. They did not reply and I felt I did not have to pay the monthly charge that they were asking because the balance was incorrect. My monthly payment for - was $230.00 Which should have not have been that high. I did not pay the $230.00 and now they are asking for a minimum payment of $490.00 and charging me $100.00 on interest and $25.00 in fees. I want to pay off the entire balance of this credit card and I feel that they are not cooperating.
