On - -, 2014 I applied online for a Sam 's Club MasterCard offered through Synchrony Bank. My application was approved and I was informed that I would receive my card in 7-10 business days, after the quoted duration passed I called to inquire about the card and I was told that I do n't get a card and that it 's on my Sam 's Club membership card. Confused at this I questioned the CSR more and found out that they had given me a line of credit I did not request, the Sam 's Club Personal Credit Card, which is a line of credit good only at Sam 's Club locations. After attempting to get this, obvious to me, error resolved through their Customer Support number and then eventually through a - complaint I was left with a hard pull on my credit report and a useless to me credit line. Since my complaint they have fixed their wording on the application which could be loosely construed as an admission of fault.
