i have received a phone call from a company called -- they are located in California- the woman who i spoke with was - - she stated the call was for an old HSBC credit card. the card was around - her attorney fees were - - they are going to file judgement agaisnt me in the state of CA, put a lien on my vehicle, and garnish 25 % of my wages. i was very concerned and asked a lot of questions i dont remember having the card- she said was from - when i asked for more information she got upset and hung up on me. i called again today to get more information she said creditors can garnish wages if i dont pay my bills - she mentioned other debts that i had and said i dont pay my bills - she said i was wasting her time. when i called back again to get more information on the garnishment '' she said they were going to do what they have to and she was not going to deal with me. she hung up on me more several times after i just tried to get a mailing address and more information about her and the company she was calling from. i think they may have blocked my number after a few attempts. i asked to speak to supervisor they either hung up on me or transferred me to a voicemail. when i called back to get the name of the supervisor they just transferred me back to a voicemail which doesnt have a name just an extension.
