I have asked American Express Credit Card for a authorized user card for my wife on 3 occasions. My credit is perfect and I am in good standing everywhere yet they refuse to right to allow my wife to be an authorized user and refuse to tell me why. My wife has not made any request to the company for credit, I did. So why ca n't you give her the right to use my credit if I authorize it, most every other financial institution does. I have total financial responsibility for my account and they ca n't tell me why my wife can not have a card when we both have -, -, -, and any other account we like. I am authorized user on some of her accounts as well, yet they tell me that they can only talk to her as to why she ca n't use my credit and be a authorized user.
