Credit card Taking/threatening an illegal action Seized/Attempted to seize property Texas

I received a called from my niece stating someone had called my ex- boyfriend from -/-/- and wanted to find me cause I owed some money and did n't show up for court. When I hang up I received a unknown called with a message I needed to call a - with a case #. that I need to call back or they would take different actions. I called the number and they identified as an attorney office named - - -. While I was on the phone they verified some of my name, last - social, and address. they wanted to settle my account I had on -/-/- or they were going to take me to court, garnish my money and seized or seize my property. sadly to say I did settle a monthly with $ - monthly for 6 months gave them my credit card information. when I hang up my husband did more research and found out there is no company named - that exist anymore. the only attorney named - - retired back in -/-/-. I felt mad and ashamed, of me giving them my credit card information to take care of a bill I could not pay back in -/-/-. I did cancel my credit card right away. I still do n't know till this day if this is even a real creditor company.
