I was shopping for a mortgage and a representative from Quicken Loans told me they needed my credit card info to process the initial application, but the representative assured me multiple times that there would be no charge at this point, so I provided the info. I don't remember the date this exchange occurred, but roughly a week later (-/-/-) they charged my credit card $- without any notification or authorization from me.
