I am a victim of Identity theft. Someone open a - - account using my SSN.in another state. When I looked at my credit report there was an account that went to collection for $1200.00. So I call AFNI and told them that this was not my account. They gave me the information that I needed to do to file a complaint. At this point I was very upset because I have been trying to get my credit score up for sometime now. So I thought that they were trying to help me so when she asked my for my address, I said why do you need it and she said that they needed it just in case they found out something out about the account they would contact me. So at this point I was not thinking clearly so I gave her my PO Box number. The next day I get a statement account from AFNI in the mail with this other person name on it. I am not the person they are looking for and I do not want any more mail address to someone else coming to me.
