GE Capital Retail Credit card department,
Synchrony Bank- Amazon has denied me statements and my full account number. When I complained about my account status and not having full account information they blocked my online access to my account altogether and I have screenshot to prove. The - time I tried to contact them by phone I had to go through horrible automated system and then wait - minutes on my lunch break and never got through. The - time I tried I got through and when I told them I was worried about my account and that I was worried about its effect on my credit report, the agent avoided my concern. I was told my account has been open since -/-/-. I told them this could n't be I never heard of Synchrony bank until they started leaving me voicemails beginning of -/-/-. After researching it found out that Synchrony was formerly GE Capital Retail Bank and I was n't notified of the bank name change either. What the agent said next was terrifying, he mentioned my - credit card. How did he know I had a - credit card? I did n't disclose any such information to him and he should n't have such information. I did n't want to draw attention about this suspicious business practice so I did n't mention anything more about my unrelated - card. I am so concerned about this company 's seemingly illegal practices I am going to send a request to - to have Synchrony Bank barred from my credit report altogether.
