I was billed $1700.00 from Bank of America. I went on the mobile app and paid the bill using my - Bank account. About a - later I discovered that Bank of America tried to draft out of an old account I used to use, but have only used once in the past - months. My old bank ( - - - ) ran it - and charged me $60.00 in fees, in addition to Bank of America charging me a $25.00 returned payment fee. I immediately contacted Bank of America and the representative told me that it was a mistake on their app and they would take care of it and I would see it fixed on my next statement. I paid for the bill that day out of the correct account and it did go through. A few weeks later when my statement came, it was not fixed, so I called Bank of America again and was told the same thing. Again, it was not fixed. I called Bank of America for a - time and spoke with - and superior of card financial services, - who both told me that I would get refunded their $25.00 fee, but not the $60.00 they cost me from -. I was told that even if it was their fault they were not authorized to fix it and that I should contact my financial institution myself. I contacted - and was told by - -, who was ever so helpful, that in these kinds of circumstances, the institution who caused the problem would typically rectify it from their end, which is what I was originally told by Bank of America. I do n't understand why Bank of America, who could easily contact - and fix this, would want to defraud me out of my $60.00. I would appreciate anything you could do to assist me in this matter.
